The local police in Alcudia arrested a man early on Sunday morning who was accused of assaulting a group of people who were celebrating a wedding at a club in Puerto Alcudia. Three of them ended up in hospital with serious injuries. The Guardia Civil are looking for more people involved in the brawl.

Around 6am, there were calls to 112 about assaults at the Magic Center. Several Local Police and Guardia Civil patrols went to scene, separated the two groups and requested ambulances.

Officers took statements, but the motive for the altercation is not yet known. Medical staff attended to a number of people and three of them had to be taken to hospital due to their injuries.

One arrest was made for causing injury. The Guardia Civil are investigating the involvement of others involved people in the brawl; they have been identified but left the scene. It is understood that those in the wedding group and those who assaulted them were not Alcudia residents but from Palma and Inca.
