On Saturday afternoon, a swimmer came across a military flare that was next to an old machine-gun nest in Sa Marina, Alcudia.

The road between Alcudia and Puerto Pollensa was closed, while specialists from the Guardia Civil's explosives unit set about detonating the flare.
