The exclusive chain of Indian food restaurants 'The Crossing' lands for the first time in Europe.
It will do so in Mallorca, at the Cap Vermell Grand Hotel, located in Canyamel. It will be in a 'pop-up' format, that is, for a limited time: those who want to try this special gastronomic offer will only have one month to do so, from May 19 to June 19.
It is a world-renowned restaurant with a world-class cuisine that promotes the diversity of Dubai. The menu reflects flavours, influences and recipes from across India, from traditional classics to modern recipes.
The name of the restaurant refers to the intersection of cultures, shared Indian experiences and the many varieties of food that coexist in India. Its cuisine focuses on reviving regional classics and talking about inherited recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation with an avant-garde touch. His presentations pay meticulous attention to ingredients and are combined with a contemporary cocktail list and a carefully selected wine list.
Cross-cultural mix of flavours
The menu at 'The Crossing' includes a posy tomato chaat inspired by a local dish from the historic city of Varanasi in northern India. Gunpowder also plays an important role, using red prawns, full of flavour and honouring a South Indian spice. In keeping with the philosophy of cross-cultural blending of flavours, 'The Crossing' uses roasted padron peppers served with a mild cardamom cheese and spicy naga chilli oil, very much in the Spanish style. Blue mussels are gently cooked in a tamarind and coconut broth and finally, the classic butter chicken is a highlight on 'The Crossing' menu.
